Uttarakhand tour: I was unable to write something on my blog, I was unable to read newspaper regularly, I was …. yet I was very happy as I was on a tour of “Devbhoomi Uttarakhand” with my parents last week. Its name was uttarakhand initially, then changed to uttaranchal and again uttarakhand as it was the northern part of Uttar Pradesh. But I think they should have thought of some other local good name. Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya pradesh are very boring names. There are two parts in uttarakhand – Garhwal and Kumayun. Somebody suggested that we should merge Uttarakhand in Himachal as both states are very small and can benifit from a consolidated policy to improve tourism facility in region. Though we need a super highway connecting these two states. I liked the idea. What do you think?

Wordpress update: Wordpress, the software responsible for creation of millions of blogs around the globe was updates to new version 2.6. If you are running your blog on wordpress then upgrade ASAP, otherwise security of your blog can be breached. It is very simple with this plugin.

Moving from IITK to IITD: I am in process of joining IIT Delhi for next two years. I am sure that life at IITD will be nothing compare to IIT Kanpur life, but everybody has to move on. Wish me luck.

Deciding between Macbook and Dell XPS M1330: I need a laptop now. I have been using my desktop computer “Vachaspati” for last 3.5 years and it is a very good machine, but laptops are trend now. I have shortlisted these two lappys – Macbook and dell xps. Both are 13 inch laptops. I am not sure which one is good for me. Please help me decide!!!

An announcement: I have decided to write my first book. It will be a 100 page book on Indian administrative and political problems. I am not sure about my English language profficiency but trying is first step of success afterall. It should be ready for download in 2 monthes and will be released under uncopyright (what the hell is uncopyright?)
