The PM game has started even before the results are out. "Allies" of congres don't want any congres led govt. No MMS, "Yuvaraj" et all. So what is going to be the stand of "secular" forces. The quenn definitely can't allow the "kingdom" to go away. The "Yuvaraj" is ready. The "regent" may be a bit upset. But I think either way it is a game of political space. All the "secular" forces fight for same vote bank and always out to prove that my shirt is whiter than yours. Looks like if "Queen" is intelligent she would prefer to sit in opposition rather than concede any political space to other "secular" parties. In that case unless BJP gets more than 170 on its own it would find it difficult to lead and we shall be left with a rag tag coalition. So now it is upto voters to give BJP atleast 170-180 seats so that we have a stable govt

For the NDA to come to power they must get over 215 seats and also that the Congress must get less 125 seats on their own. That would enable the BJP to convince the 'floaters' of the stability of the Govt.

I feel NDA getting 220 seats should be enough to get into power.

AIADMK+ 25 seats, TRS+TDP/TRS+PRP 18/12 SEATS...BJD-9 seats and many independents and small parties like BNP(5 SEATS) Will support Advani

@shanthesh
done :)

@raj
somehow I have a feeling that our beloved sardar ji is going to pull it off this time. with the help of left of-course, as they will support UPA "to keep communal bjp out of power"
just a gut feeling. what else to say, there is no countrywide wave to change the scene very drastically. Some places BJP is gaining, some places, it is loosing. But if NDA wants to come to power, it has to rely on itself to get 250 seats atleast.

And also the politics party logic of Taradevi would have been the winner if she was congress candidate is completely Illogical.My hometown is in same constituency, and if she was the candidate then BJP would have won by more than1 lakh margin, Now as Mr hegde is the new candidate, BJP Would win by magrin of around 60,000-80,000 votes

Thats true and 25 seats is really out of imagination..Because doesnt have base in Mandya,Hassan ,Chamarajanagar seats.It would be a miracle if we win these seats... Scoring 25/25 in the remaining seats is surely a day dream..I said 16 seats are 100% sure seats, We still have chance to increase our tally upto 23 seats..

SO according to latest prediction
BJP 16-23
Cong 1-7
JDS 4-5

Hi CHakresh,

I have updated the excel sheet with latest developments in Karnataka, Can you please update the blog.

Bad news is that BJP sure seats reduced from 18 to 16 where as JDS is increasing its minimum tally to 4 seats...

Looks like to get 20 seats in Karnataka BJP has to work really harder, ( BJP Govt hasnt worked harder to improve the state condition,atleast let them work hard now, (Ofcourse few exceptional ministers are there who are doing great job))
