Top reasons why violent protest in kashmir should be surpressed
I read two very opposite kind of news in last week about Kashmir. First was that a rail road is about to complete to link Kashmir valley to rest of India. This is supposed to bring new wave of economical development in valley. Second news was that on 20th June some student hoisted Pakistani flag at Kashmir University and gave their arrest in support of separatist militants. Though these news items have no direct connection, but we can easily predict that if the first news would have come 20-30 years before then we should not be hearing the second news. Then there was one more news which rocked the Kashmir valley and many people died after their violent protest and police fire.Apparently one month ago government of Jammu & Kashmir state granted a 100 acre land to a trust. This trust is for arrangement of Amarnath Yatra, the famous Hindu pilgrimage. Now some sections of Kashmir political spectrum think that this is a conspiracy of Indian government to install outside Hindus in the Muslim majority valley. I do not need to remind you that these are same people who support two nation theory of partition in context of Hindu-Muslim division. Interestingly communist party of India is only major national party, which is supporting these protests. Both BJP and Congress are in opposition of this violence. Now, in my opinion these protests are fuelled by All Kashmir Hurriyat Conference. They are feeling marginalized these days in politics of valley after the last election. People are taking part in the political process of Indian democracy; it is a virtual defeat for separatist movement. That is why they are backing this protest to divide J&K on communal line.
Here are the reasons why these protests are not based on facts, only on fanatics.
- Muslims are 95% of total population in Kashmir valley. This percentage was around ninty at the time of independence of India. After that mass exodus of Hindus from the valley has done opposite to what these protesters are saying now. Even Hindu and Buddhist majority areas of Jammu and Laddakh have seen increase in muslim population, so these claims cannot be said anything more than stupid.
- Amarnath pilgrimage is a famous pilgrimage and its route is through Kashmir valley. It is a very mismanaged yatra and need a lot of funds for its management. So what happens if government decided to give some land for starting an office of Shri Amarnath Shrine Board. It was a forest land. Every year Indian government spend hundreds of crore INRs on huj, Amarnath yatra deserves something of that sort.
- Almost all the pilgrimage of Amarnath are wealthy Punjabis. They are not going to settle down in poverty stricken Kashmir. It is a major source of income for many people in Kashmir. So, protest is not in any way in interest of Kashmiri awam.
This is just a plot to disrupt the ongoing peace in valley and supporters of such crimes should be arrested immediately.

India’s claim to Kashmir is based on an instrument of accession signed between India and Maharaja Hari Singh. As per the agreement the Kashmiri land belongs to Kashmiri’s only. Over the years India has abrogated these provisions but the land provision is still upheld.. This land transfer is another Indian ploy of continuing the occupation against the wishes of Kashmiri’s. One cannot supress the geniune demands of people and break the laws and still continue to call itself a democracy.

I cannot understand, are these kashmiri people’s wishes or kashmiri muslim’s wishes. What about the people protesting against the knee jerk reaction of J&K government to revoke the land transfer under the pressure from those angry protesters.
Now India expend a lot more money, and by a lot I mean a LOT, on kashmir than revenue out of it. And you still think that India wants to occupy Kashmir by force?

U KNW THE PROTESTS IN KASHMIR ARE NOT AGANIST HINDUISM, AMARNATH YATRA, LAND OR WHT U KNW
Infact here the people of Kashmir love to serve Amarnath pilgrims. V love them, care them,respect them but some anti social fundamentalists have communalised the whole issue as u see in Jammu where houses of muslims are burnt, there property is destroyed, Kashmiri drivers are burnt alive and wht not. And if all this is not enough they stop supplies of essential items like food, medicines etc. and turn Kashmir in a big prison wher people are made to die for nothing.
Just give me one example where any non-muslim is hurt by Kashmiri in the ongoing protests, infact they are seved with food, shelter and above all love and care.
Here in kashmir we are fighting for freedom and nothing else
V R not terrorists but are fighting for the achievemnt of our birth right- Right to self determination.
V r demanding withdrawal of troops from here who have killed lakhs of people here. U knw even just two days before peaceful and unarmed protesters wer shot dead by military personals for the reason that they were demanding freedom and too in a very peaceful manner.
Now tell me Who is terrorist- U, ME or INDIAN MILITARY
